A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit alleging that Defendant, Nippon Express U.S.A., Inc. (“NEU”), unlawfully collected, captured, received, or otherwise disclosed its Illinois employees’ Biometric Identifiers and/or Biometric Information through its finger and/or handscan clock-in system. NEU denies the claims in the lawsuit. The Court did not resolve the claims and defenses raised in this action. The parties have agreed to settle the dispute to avoid the cost and risk of a trial.
